- Orthopedic surgeries
- Pathology and radiology
- Clinical support and pharmacy services
In addition, it proudly supports the Northern Medical Program as a training site for future physicians.
About the RoleIn this role, you will:
- Provide and coordinate nursing care in alignment with current standards of practice
- Work within the Clinical Specialty of Critical Care & Emergency/Ambulatory Care Nursing
- Independently support patients in ICU and Emergency settings
- Perform designated responsibilities on the Acute Care Unit as assigned by the Head Nurse or Nurse in Charge
Northern Health is implementing minimum Nurse‑to‑Patient Ratios (mNPR)—a transformative initiative to improve working conditions for nurses while enhancing the quality of patient care.
Qualifications- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical experience
- Post‑Diploma Certificate in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- ICU and Emergency experience required
- CPR (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS certification (or willingness to complete within 1 year)
- Applicants without formal Emergency/Critical Care training must enroll within 6 months of hire
