Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Ksyen Regional Hospital.
In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Northern Health, and working collaboratively and in partnership with the interprofessional care team in the provision of person-centered and recovery oriented care the Specialized Mental Health and Substance Use Liaison performs intake assessment, offers crisis intervention, and provides input into the care of patients experiencing difficulties with mental health and/or substance use concerns in the Emergency Department, Acute care and community.
Provides input into the care of patients awaiting transfer for further assessment or inpatient admission in relation to MHSU. Assists with ensuring effective patient flow for assessed patients through collaboration with Emergency Department nurses, other emergency service providers, the specialized and interprofessional community mental health and substance use team(s) and other community service providers. Assists in adapting care plans to address MSHU needs, with final dispositions authorized by the physicians and/or consulting Psychiatrist.
The Specialized MHSU Liaison works in close association with specialized and interprofessional community mental health team (s), agencies and other community service providers.
Days, Nights, 09:00 to 21:00, 11:00 to 23:00 (rotating)
Ksyen Regional HospitalThe new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. More than double the size of the previous hospital, the facility features 82 beds, private rooms, and is a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.
