Registered Nurse for Substance Use Care

Northern Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse for its Substance Use Withdrawal Management team. Deliver holistic patient care in a collaborative setting while addressing the complexities of withdrawal symptoms.

In this vital role, you will implement person-centered care under the supervision of the Withdrawal Management Unit Program Lead. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for patients. Your expertise will significantly contribute to recovery-oriented approaches and effective communication in a culturally sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments

• Provide comprehensive nursing care interventions

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams

• Create individualized care plans for clients

• Facilitate effective communication with clients and families

Requirements:

• Active RN or RPN registration with BCCNM

• Two years of experience in Mental Health Substance Use

• Strong clinical and diagnostic reasoning skills

• Ability to manage culturally sensitive client interactions

• Commitment to providing trauma-informed care
