Steel Dynamics is responsible for coordinating safety activities, reporting, and adherence to and implementation of a comprehensive Safety, Health, and Loss Prevention Program. This role supports all facilities in Terre Haute, IN.

• Implement and maintain corporate safety policies and programs
• Complete OSHA, Health, and Safety record‑keeping and reporting
• Provide direction, support, and resources to site managers and supervisors to achieve facility safety goals
• Conduct pre‑job assessments, inspections, and audits of worksite and facility
• Facilitate safety training for new employees, visitors, and contractors
• Support accident investigations and address day‑to‑day safety‑related issues from employees and contractors
• Evaluate and purchase appropriate safety‑related equipment for employees
• Submit all required safety reports as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or related discipline
• 3+ years experience working in Safety or related area
• Completion of 30‑Hour OSHA training
• Ability to travel and willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
