Compensation$35.00 – $40.00 / hour
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care Implementation:
Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to address patients' specific rehabilitation goals and functional needs. - Therapeutic Exercise and
Activities:
Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities designed to enhance their physical function and promote recovery. Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure safe and effective participation. - Modalities and Physical Agents:
Ensure the proper application of various treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment parameters as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes. - Patient and Family
Education:
Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, proper body mechanics, and techniques for managing pain and discomfort. - Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor patients' responses to treatment interventions, document progress and any changes in functional status or treatment tolerance, and communicate regularly with the supervising physical therapist to provide updates and collaborate on adjustments to the treatment plan.
- Degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current license/certification in the state of practice
