Position Overview

This position is responsible for ensuring that all hotel rooms are cleaned and prepared for guests. Rooms are assigned, and the team member must complete all cleaning and organizing tasks prior to guest occupancy.

Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly clean hotel rooms and bathrooms according to department procedures
  • Sort, count, fold, and carry linens for making guest beds
  • Stock housekeeping carts with supplies
  • Replenish supplies in rooms and bathrooms per hotel procedures
  • Assist in the laundry room to ensure clean linens are available
  • Dust furniture, wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows and sills, door panels
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal area
  • Report any problems to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Welcome Desk Supervisor
  • Ensure lost and found items are logged
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Interact with guests on occasion while cleaning rooms
  • Promote outstanding customer relations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous housekeeping experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and interact with internal departments
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship with other team members
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
  • Detail‑oriented, professional attitude, strong organizational and time‑management skills, and a customer‑focused mindset
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

The role requires sitting or standing, walking, and using hands for reaching, handling, and operating tools. Activities include lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs independently and more than 50 lbs with assistance. The noise level can be moderate to loud sonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
