As a Solutions Architect, you willserve as a senior technical advisor for the Administrative Systems team. You will evaluate new and emerging technologies, coordinate with end users, and provide technical guidance and leadership in software acquisition, installation,configuration, and use. You will design and implement technical facets ofsystem enhancements, modifications and/or replacements as well as ensureadministrative systems are properly architected, configured, and monitored tomeet Institute business needs.

You will ensure proper technical design and implementation of data integration interfaces with third-partysoftware packages; serve as secondary Oracle DBA, performing maintenance andother tasks in support of the primary DBA or in their absence.

Additionally, you will performtechnical activities in support of administrative computing systems andservices, such as overseeing system upgrades, setting security protocols,guiding integration of new technologies, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. You will assist with technical aspects of standard operating proceduredocumentation.

Qualified candidates will hold abachelor’s degree in a technology-related discipline and five years of relevant experience. A comprehensive knowledge of database architecture and relational database management systems is essential. Knowledge of modern computinglanguages (eg. JavaScript, Python, Java), design methodologies and application development is necessary. Experience with APIs and software integrations(REST/JSON) desired. Must be able to collaborate with senior technicalprofessionals, to specify, plan, and procure information technology and makestrategic recommendations to the Institute.

In addition to the aforementionedqualifications, preferred candidates will have a master’s degree in technology-related discipline and 8 years of position-related experience.

Previous database administrator experience is strongly preferred. Ability toread, interpret and write documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures related to database environment for both noviceand expert users is preferred.
