Machine Operator I - Mixing - 2nd & 3rd Shift
We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator for our Mixing Department. You will prepare products according to standard recipe requirements using commercial grade mixing equipment with computerized control systems.
Shift & Hours2nd
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
3rd
Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Monday through Friday with possible overtime and weekend work.

Operates mixing equipment, follows standard operating procedures, alerts supervisors to quality or safety issues, works safely at all times, and remains on the floor 100% of the shift.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Operate commercial grade mixing equipment with computerized control systems.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and follow standard operating procedures.
- Alert Operators, Leads, or Supervisors of any quality or safety issue.
- Work safely at all times.
- Remain on the floor 100% of the shift.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Work a flexible schedule.
- Reaching with hands/arms throughout the shift.
- Use of hands and fingers.
- Visual, auditory and verbal communication.
- Lift/carry up to 100 lbs.
- Work in light to moderate noise levels (hearing protection may be required).
- Walk up to 400 yards to work areas.
- Communicate in English to give and acknowledge instructions and problems.
- Work more than 40 hours per week.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
- Stand eight hours per shift.
- Repetitive reaching over/under/through.
- Push/pull items up to 2,600 lbs. with assistance.
- Crawl under equipment to reach work area.
- Perform general housekeeping (sweeping, mopping).
- Climb steps to and from work and break areas.
- Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity for repetitive tasks.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and independently at times.
- Measure and read scales; understand units of measurement.
- Recognize problems and take immediate action.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment close to others.
- Distinguish colors.
- Perform basic arithmetic in various units of measure.
- Work in variable temperatures and weather conditions.
- Repetitive bending, stooping and twisting.
- Work in wet, humid areas.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
- Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram and schedule form.
- Work well with others under stressful situations and meet deadlines.
- Work near moving mechanical parts; possible exposure to fumes, airborne particles and vibration.
- May work in high or precarious places and/or outside weather conditions.
- Be receptive to new ideas, concepts and procedures.
