Material Handler I - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Join Maker's Pride as a Material Handler responsible for storing, moving, and handling products and materials in a structured manufacturing environment. The role ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintains safety and quality standards.

Monday through Friday + overtime/ weekends.

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

The Material Handler is responsible for transporting, packing, and disposing of products and materials while maintaining inventory, operating equipment safely, and supporting 5S housekeeping.

• Identify, transport, pack, remove, and dispose of products and materials.
• Operate forklifts, handcarts, or pallet jacks to pick, replenish, shuttle, and load/unload orders.
• Maintain inventory levels as directed.
• Feed lines with product as scheduled or directed by supervision.
• Ship and receive materials throughout the shift.
• Operate all equipment in a safe manner.
• Count, weigh, and record numbers of units or materials moved or handled.
• Ensure that product moved is identified and labeled correctly.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain 5S, sweeping floors, and disposing of trash.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of GMPs or willingness to learn.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days.
• Ability to operate stand‑up and extended forklifts.
• Sufficient math skills.
• Understanding and following all safety policies and procedures.
• Reading and writing in English preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Previous material handling experience a plus, varies by location.

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machines, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Team environment requiring respectful communication.
• Willingness to work overtime and across shifts as needed.

• Reaching with hands/arms throughout the day.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs assisted and 40 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand up to 80% of the scheduled shift.
• Ability to walk, climb, and/or balance throughout the shift.
