As a Shortage Control Associate (SCA), your role directly impacts the store's security and the overall shopping experience for our customers. You will monitor store entrances, exits, and high-risk areas to mitigate theft and create a safe environment.

• Maintain a professional appearance and command presence at all times.
• Stand positioned at the front of the store, remaining vigilant.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
• Conduct bag and package checks on associates and customers.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Provide support in training associates on shortage reduction programs.
• Follow safety procedures and address unsafe practices promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and analyze business trends.
• Engage customers and associates consistently with positive attitude.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining detail focus.

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience monitoring store environment.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Base Pay: $9.00 per hour

Part-time associates may be eligible for Burlington's benefits package based on hours worked, including medical coverage, 401(k), up to 4 hrs of paid time off after one year, 8 paid holidays, and paid sick time in accordance with applicable law.
