Offer technical support and data management
- Analyze 3D models to meet manufacturing requirements
- Complete and validate technical information in drawings
- Extract and organize model data (reports, measurements, etc.)
- Resolve technical issues related to production
- Ensure data quality and integrity
Produce and validate technical deliverables
- Produce and correct shop drawings and assembly details
- Prepare drawings and CNC files
- Interpret materials and manufacturing processes
- Produce the required technical documentation
- Participate in the validation of modeled elements
Optimization of methods and teamwork
- Contribute to manufacturing and assembly methods
- Participate in the improvement of processes and models
- Collaborate with teams (engineering, production, projects)
- Apply BIM standards and best practices
- Provide technical support to operations
- College diploma (D.E.C.) in civil engineering, industrial drafting, product design, or any relevant field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in 3D modeling, steel detailing, or a related field
- Experience with Tekla Structures (or similar software: Revit, Solid Works, Advance Steel)
- Training in 3D modeling (CAD) or product design — a significant asset
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (spoken and written)
- Good understanding of the product development cycle (analysis, design, validation, production)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, shop drawings, and schematics (mechanical, structural, or piping)
- Good knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes, materials, and digital manufacturing environments (CNC, DSTV files, etc.)
- Ability to design, modify, and optimize technical parts or assemblies
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a meticulous approach
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment
- Self-reliance, initiative, and ability to adapt to new technologies
- Compressed work week of 4 evenings of 10 hours (Monday to Thursday 3:15 pm to 1:45 am)
