The Environmental Specialist II is focused on coordination of the environmental, health and safety activities to maintain compliance with EPA, OSHA, Corporate and Facility environmental regulations and initiatives. and reports to the Safety Manager.

Job responsibilities include:
- Evaluate operations, processes, and equipment in the facility to determine compliance with all safe operating policies, facility written programs and OSHA requirements.
- Provides guidance and support to facility leadership in matters pertaining to the safe operation of the facility.
- Assist with development and follow up on annual Safety Self Assessments and Safety Plan.
- Identify and administer programs and training to reinforce a culture of safety.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent OSHA and OBE requirements, programs, and regulations;
Conduct inspections of site air, tanks and waste water to ensure compliance with environmental regulations (air, water, waste, hazardous materials). - Review & evaluate environmental permit applications, compliance reports, and monitoring data;
Assist in the preparation and enforcement of compliance orders, notices violation, & corrective action plans;
Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental samples (soil, air, water, waste).
- Bachelor’s degree in supporting field of study with at least 2 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing safety setting required.
- Ability to read and correctly interpret the OSHA 1910 standards (OSHA 511 certification a plus).
- Experience with Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure.
- HAZWOPER 40 Hour (Preferred not Required).
- OSHA 30 Certification.
