AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Lab Technician at our Terrell TX facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will perform lab services for our plant.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the chemicals used in the e-coating, powder coating, and Waste Water Control processes.
• Be experienced in the handling and identifying of hazardous materials.
• Be experienced in the safe operation of fork lift trucks.
• Able to take and record a physical inventory.
• Capable of replacing the head of the lab in the event of sickness and vacations.
• Capable of performing a daily chemical analysis and record these results legibly.
• Familiar with statistical process control and capable of learning how to apply this quality control technique to process control.
• Safety conscious individual and have a work record that indicates your safe habits.
• Able to take and complete an Emergency Response Training course sponsored by AZZ Galvanizing.

• 6 months to 1-year related experience required.
• Experience with similar lab functions preferred
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
