What You’ll Get To DoThe Extrusion Supervisor is focused on supervising and coordinating activities of extrusion operators and technicians across multiple shifts. Hours are 6pm-6am.
Job Responsibilities Include- Monitor production schedules, adjust workflows, and allocate resources to meet output targets. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance teams for timely repairs. Train and mentor team members on extrusion techniques, safety procedures, and operational best practices.
- Maintain accurate production records, downtime logs, and performance reports.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct regular inspections to ensure product quality and process consistency.
- Communicate effectively with other departments including Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, and Maintenance.
- Demonstrate strong technical ability, including reading blueprints, interpreting measurements, and performing hands‑on troubleshooting of extrusion equipment and processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in manufacturing preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in extrusion operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of extrusion machinery, materials, and process controls.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
- Standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 lbs may be required.
