Position: Welder 1

*** Core Responsibilities**
* ** Fabrication & Assembly:
** Cut, fit, and join metal components to build various store fixtures and retail equipment.
* ** Blueprint Interpretation:
** Read and use tape measures, protractors, and engineered drawings to ensure welds meet exact specifications.
* ** Equipment Operation:
** Set up and adjust welding machines according to gauge and product requirements; may also operate manual or semi-automatic equipment.
* ** Quality & Safety:
** Inspect final products for quality, maintain a clean work area, and strictly follow safety protocols while wearing PPE (helmets, respirators, etc.).

* Experience:

** Requires 1–2 years of production-setting MIG welding experience or formal technical training.
* *
* Certifications:

** Candidates must pass a Madix-specific weld test; AWS or ASME certifications are preferred but not always required.
* ** Technical Math:
** Proficiency in basic math, including fractions and angles, is essential for accurate measuring and cutting.
