Inspect structural MIG/GMAW welds with a dedicated focus on Complete Joint Penetration (CJP) quality.

Perform and record Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) inspections on seismic and load‑bearing components.

Read and interpret engineering blueprints, fabrication drawings, and shop drawings to drive compliance.

Confirm all welds meet specs, drawings, WPS requirements, and internal quality standards.

Spot defects, collaborate with welders, supervisors, and production, and guide corrective actions.

Reinforce proper welding procedures and inspection criteria across the process.

Support production teams with practical, timely quality and inspection guidance.

What you bringAWS CWI certification (required).Significant experience inspecting structural steel welds.

Knowledge of structural MIG/GMAW welding practices.

Fluency in blueprint reading, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and shop drawings.
