Under supervision, performs a variety of skilled work in the operation, repair, and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and other related work as required. Skills are developed through training programs and then applied to maintenance and repairs of equipment including vessel boiler, electrical, air-conditioning refrigeration, plumbing, as well as a working knowledge of all other skill areas. This position is a bridge training and a steppingstone to a general mechanic role.

EducationRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
- Experience working in the trades or completion of high school pre-apprenticeship program.

- Actively participates in the state accredited Facilities Apprenticeship Program.
- Meets competencies and learning milestones.
- Performs general inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items within the hospital or clinic setting.
- Unclogs plumbing lines, replaces light bulbs, replaces ceiling tile, repairs leaking faucets, and touches up paint.
- Completes preventive maintenance inspections in accordance to scheduled checkpoints and maintains documentation appropriately.
- Reports on time to the program’s designated sites and completes all scheduled classes, labs, study periods, and any other activities required by the training partner. Activities may be virtual or in-person.
- Completes program within the designated amount of time.
- Complies with all policies at all times while representing the company, including while offsite.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
