Materials Controller

We are currently recruiting for a Materials Controller to join a busy construction site team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction who is looking to develop their career and progress into Assistant Site Management and eventually Site Management
.

Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, you will gain valuable hands‑on experience across site operations, logistics, health & safety, quality control and programme delivery.

• Managing the coordination and tracking of materials across site.
• Checking deliveries, maintaining stock records and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and site teams to ensure materials are available when required.
• Supporting the Site Manager with daily site operations and organisation.
• Monitoring material usage and reporting shortages or delays.
• Assisting with site housekeeping, logistics and general site duties.
• Carrying out some labouring duties when required to support the wider site team.
• Helping maintain a safe, tidy and efficient working environment.
• Gaining exposure to site management responsibilities with a view to career progression.

• Previous experience working on a construction site (materials, labouring, logistics or general site operations).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Good understanding of construction processes and site environments.
• Strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn.
• Reliable, hardworking and keen to progress within the construction industry.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a long‑term career in construction management. You will work alongside experienced site professionals, gaining the knowledge and experience required to progress into an Assistant Site Manager position and ultimately Site Manager
