Harris in Tewkesbury is our HQ for our Intelligence & Cyber International division. In the land domain, our T7 and T4 multi-mission robots deliver next-generation remote capabilities and uncompromised performance. We design and manufacture world-leading land force protection systems, cyber and electromagnetic activities (CEMA), electronic warfare (EW) and encryption capabilities. Our cyber capabilities provide an information advantage in the fields of kinetic conflict, cyber warfare, force protection and counter terrorism.

We are looking for an Integration and Test Engineering to join our Engineering team working on a variety of Electronic Warfare projects.

Reporting to a Systems Engineering Manager, you will take a leading role in the Engineering activities for systems or sub-systems on engineering development programmes

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Leading the integration and testing of complex embedded electronic warfare systems
  • Interfacing with key internal stakeholders in the hardware, software or firmware teams and technical leadership
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving during the integration of complex systems
  • Interfacing with the manufacturing team to help support the development of production test equipment and production test specifications and to resolve any issues arising during manufacturing
  • Supporting trials, customer demonstrations and onsite acceptance testing at L3

    Harris sites or customer sites.
What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Experience of designing and developing system verification tests to show requirements compliance
  • Experience of integration complex sub-systems and troubleshooting integration issues
  • Experience of developing environmental or EMC qualification testing strategies, working with certified test houses and some awareness of qualification testing standards
  • Experience of running manual or automated tests and capturing test results using a requirements management tool such as IBM Rationale DOORS.
  • Experience of working closely with low level design teams in electronic design, mechanical design and software.
  • Relevant industry experience in complex embedded environments.
