Hours:
Week 1:
Monday-Thursday (Nights). Week 2:
Monday-Thursday (Days), plus every other Friday - 8-hours overtime (not compulsory). About the Role We're seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy FMCG/manufacturing site in Wellingborough. This is a hands-on role where the focus is on root cause problem-solving and implementing the right fix first time, rather than temporary patches. You'll report to the Shift Manager and often work independently, though you'll always have a support network via the team's Whats App group and management escalation if required.
On Fridays, there is always a full team on site. The site has a fantastic engineering team - they've won multiple awards, including a celebration day for the engineers, reflecting the value they place on their team.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults with a 'right first time' approach.
* Work under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
* Record and manage maintenance activities using the CMMS system on iPads.
* Work independently while collaborating with the wider engineering team when required.
* Support production and maintain plant reliability. Skills & Experience
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Evidence of multi-skilled experience (mechanical and electrical).
* Previous experience in FMCG, food, or pharma manufacturing preferred but not essential.
* Able to conduct themselves professionally and work effectively as part of a team.
* Ability to adapt to legacy factory equipment and troubleshoot effectively.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. Join a hands-on, highly skilled, and supportive engineering team at a stable, well-established food company.
