Due to continued growth across our Commercial Aircraft Group, Moog is expanding its Manufacturing Engineering team.

Moog Commercial Aircraft Group Tewkesbury is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components across a range of materials. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with machining and CAD/CAM experience who is looking to further develop their career within a highly regulated aerospace environment.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience using a range of CAD/CAM platforms. Training on Siemens NX can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement lean manufacturing processes focused on quality, cost and delivery.

Create machining processes for complex components with tight tolerances using CAD/CAM software.

Select cutting tools, design fixtures and produce shop documentation.

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including Design for Manufacture (DfM) reviews.

Lead and support process improvement projects, ensuring minimal downtime within the machine shop.

Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design changes to enhance productivity and standardisation.

Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and manufacturing operations.

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations teams to achieve business objectives.

What We're Looking For Essential Experience  in manufacturing or process engineering within a precision machining environment5 Axis Milling and/or Millturn Background CAD/CAM programming experience using Siemens NX, CATIA, Mastercam, Edgecam, Feature CAM, Part Maker or similar systems.

Strong understanding of CNC machining processes.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver practical solutions.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).Aerospace, Automotive, defence, medical or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.

PFMEA experience.

Siemens NX experience.
5 Axis Milling (Okuma MU4000V or equivalent) and Mill turn (Mazak I100, I200 or DMG NTX 1000)
Knowledge of GD&T principles.

Exposure to advanced manufacturing processes.
