Monday-Friday An established and highly respected global manufacturer is seeking a mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its flagship operation in Heywood. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced production equipment at a site that continues to invest heavily in automation, engineering excellence, and innovative technologies.

Role Overview Deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities to optimise equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve overall reliability Investigate, diagnose, and resolve a variety of mechanical faults while assisting with electrical maintenance tasks where necessary Collaborate with fellow engineers, production personnel, and key stakeholders to maintain efficient site operations Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures while championing a strong safety-first culture across the site Identify areas for continuous improvement and support initiatives that enhance operational performance Play an active role in engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and site improvement programmes Skills & Experience Required Apprentice trained or time-served Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with multi-skilled experience Background within Food, FMCG, Packaging, Manufacturing, or another fast-moving production environment would be highly advantageous Strong mechanical fault-finding expertise covering conveyors, pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatics, and associated machinery Exposure to basic electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis would be beneficial Able to thrive within a fast-paced and demanding manufacturing environment About the Company This business is a well-known and respected name within its industry, operating across the UK with a strong reputation for quality and innovation.
