We are happy to provide reasonable adjustments throughout the hiring process and are dedicated to offering a supportive, flexible, and accessible working environment.

At DXC Technology, delivering excellence for our customers and colleagues is something we work towards together every day. We deliver mission‑critical services in secure environments while championing a people‑first culture, a strong sense of community, and a healthy work‑life balance. One of our platinum accounts is currently looking for Cloud Platform Developers at varying levels of experience. In this role, you will work as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team designing and developing solutions across Azure, AWS, and data centre/private cloud platforms. Together, you will deliver highly available, automated, and secure solutions—largely using open‑source technologies—that provide real value to our customers.

Role responsibilities
  • Working closely with project teams to understand business needs, technical context, and strategic direction.
  • Advising customers on modern technologies and best‑practice approaches, using automation to create elegant and effective solutions.
  • Understanding security policies and thoughtfully implementing solutions that meet security and compliance requirements.
  • Designing and implementing solutions that are scalable, resilient, and highly available.
What you will bring to the team
  • A positive, collaborative approach and strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new tools, techniques, and technologies.
  • Good organisational and time‑management skills.
  • A flexible, Agile mindset and comfort working in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Attention to detail, paired with a practical and enthusiastic attitude.
Desirable skills and technologies
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure, including Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, or Chef.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, React, or Go.
  • Experience deploying and managing cloud architectures, particularly within AWS environments.
  • Experience with web application services such as NGINX, Apache, or JBoss.
  • Knowledge of Open Shift, Docker, Kubernetes, and RHEL 6/7/8.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as ELK, Nagios, New Relic, Data Dog, or Splunk.
  • Understanding of modern digital delivery processes and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset.
  • Working knowledge of databases, schemas, and query languages.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines (for example Jenkins, Terraform, Concourse, or Team City).
  • Knowledge of source control tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or Subversion.
  • An understanding of secure cloud design, including identity, access management, and authentication technologies (such as ADFS, SSL/TLS, OIDC, OAuth2, Keycloak, or Red Hat SSO).
What we will do for you
  • Competitive compensation
  • Pension scheme
  • DXC Select – our comprehensive benefits package (including private medical insurance, gym membership, and more)
  • Perks at Work (discounts on technology, groceries, travel, and more)
  • DXC incentives and recognition programmes, including team lunches and regular social events

At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success. Our work model prioritises in‑person collaboration while offering flexibility to support wellbeing, productivity, individual work styles, and life circumstances. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
