The Role - Strategic Supply Chain Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned and influential Supply Chain Leader to join a prominent business in the aerospace and defence sector.

The Strategic Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for establishing and growing the supply chain function for a new branch within the business offering a unique and exciting opportunity.

Taking a strategic approach, you’ll ensure the successful design and delivery of supply chain development and growth.

Duties - Strategic Supply Chain Manager

Provide strategic vision and lead the design and delivery of the supply chains
Execute the full strategic sourcing lifecycle, including:

Strategy development
Supplier identification and evaluation
Spend and market analysis
Negotiation of long‑term agreements

Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Conduct global market research to identify suppliers that enhance business value.
Run RFQs and assess supplier capabilities.
Lead all site and cross-site supply chain activities.
Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships.
Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and corrective actions.

Background - Strategic Supply Chain Manager

Bachelor’s degree (Preferable)
Significant evidence of supply chain career progression.
Knowledge of procurement and contractual law.
Knowledge of contractual requirements & supply chain processes.
Innovation or other early-stage business creation experience
