We are working with a well-established engineering business in Tewkesbury who are looking to bring in a Stores Operative to support their Supply Chain team.

The Stores Operative is a key role within the business, helping to ensure materials are received, stored, and issued correctly so production can run smoothly.

Stores Operative Duties Will Include:

You’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the stores function, making sure materials and components are handled accurately and efficiently.

* Receiving and unloading deliveries safely

* Checking goods against purchase orders and delivery notes

* Inspecting items for damage or discrepancies

* Booking stock into internal systems accurately

* Storing materials in the correct locations

* Issuing stock to production and internal teams

* Keeping stock records up to date

* Supporting stock checks and stock takes

* Working closely with purchasing and production teams

* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe stores environment

Skills and Experience needed:

* Previous experience in a stores operative, warehouse, or stock control role

* Good attention to detail and accuracy

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

* Basic understanding of stock control processes

* Strong team player with a proactive attitude

* Good numeracy and organisational skills

* Experience with in a manufacturing or engineering environment - Desirable (but not essential

* Experience using stock or ERP systems

* FLT licence (or willingness to be trained)
