Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who is compassionate, approachable, organised and efficient, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient centred care. The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) requires you to function effectively as a member of the peri‑operative team to ensure the safe provision and development of an efficient and high‑quality service. You will be a key member of the peri‑operative team, ensuring that patients receive excellent standards of care and that the standards of care you deliver are effective, current and evidence‑based.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning and evaluation of nursing care for service users during the peri‑operative journey, maintaining high standards of care, and providing and maintaining safety of service users. The RN will participate in training, supervision and competency assessment of learners, including student nurses and other junior or inexperienced staff, and will fulfil the roles on the ward as required.

This role is offered on a permanent basis. The position is part‑time, 30 hours per week.

It is offered within the Theatre and Day Surgery Unit at Tewkesbury Hospital, part of the Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.
