Moog is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to plan and execute cost-effective quality processes to assure that we will meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers. In this role, you will have a measurable impact on our business performance by promoting the highest standards of quality. Given the complexity of the hardware we produce, we’re looking for someone who understands its critical nature.
You will report to a Program QE Manager and work onsite in Tewkesbury, UK.
- As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be relied upon to have integrity, and to stand up and say “STOP – we have a problem we need to address right away.” You’ll have the strength of Moog’s culture behind you to support it.
- Responsible for quality success on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality-related decisions for our customers.
- Collaborate with global partners to gather insights, resolve challenges, meet program requirements, and maintain consistent, transparent communication with customers.
- Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams through problem solving activities, including failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer and governmental interface, audit support, configuration control, and traceability.
- Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly and test processes, and final inspection.
- Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root causes and corrective actions on complex issues.
- Reduce inspection costs and prevent failure-related expenses through statistical analysis and problem solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent STEM.
- 8 years of professional work experience in Engineering or Manufacturing.
- 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with problem solving tools and documentation.
