This is an exciting opportunity to join Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Tewkesbury as an Inspector in our Product Verification team. After a basic training period have the ability to work with limited supervision in inspecting parts in accordance with the Company’s Health And Safety and Quality procedures.
The Role Hourly Rate: £15.68 ( £14.25 + 10% shift premium)
Working Hours:
37.5 per week
Week 1:
Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm
Week 2:
Monday - Thursday 2 - 11:53pm
Tasks And Responsibilities
- Quality Control and Inspection tasks including visual inspection of manufactured parts.
- Conduct inspections using manual inspection methods (Vernier, Micrometer, plug gauges etc.)
- Support engineering investigations for defect catalogues and tooling modifications. To fully support the day-to-day activity of supporting Manufacturing inspection.
- Carry out all work activities following HSE requirements
- Keep work area(s) in compliance with company housekeeping standards
- Experience in an inspection or quality environment is favourable
- Experience working with measuring equipment (CMM, Optical Measuring Machines etc.).
- Be able to interpret machined part engineering drawings, processes and procedures.
- Can work with cross functional teams.
- Quality conscious with strong attention to detail
- Understanding the need for quality and how it impacts on business
- Good understanding of foreign object defects, cause and rectification
- Good coordination skills
- Ability to understand and complete paperwork
- Maintain standards as set by Company
- Awareness of the importance of communication and keeping people updated
- Maintains a self awareness of events and activities within the Company
