Job Description & How to Apply Below

We at JKR are recruiting an enthusiastic Sales Administrator, for one of our key clients, a growing manufacturing company in Tewkesbury!

Sales Administrator Main Purpose and Scope of Role:

The Sales Administrator is a newly created role at the heart of our client's order-to-delivery process, providing the administrative backbone that allows the Account Management team to focus on customer relationships and account growth.

Working within the Commercial team, the Sales Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all customer orders, the maintenance of order data across internal systems (including the company's order-loading system and Salesforce CRM), and the coordination of information between Sales, Supply Chain, and Production to ensure commitments are consistently met.

This is a high-volume, fast-paced role that demands exceptional accuracy, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to communication. It also offers a genuine, structured development pathway into Account Management for the right individual who demonstrates the commercial and relationship skills required to progress.

Sales Administrator Main Duties:
  • Process incoming customer orders accurately and promptly onto internal systems, ensuring all order details, quantities, pricing, and commercial terms are correctly captured and verified before confirmation

  • Enter and maintain sales order information across the company's order-loading system and Salesforce CRM, maintaining data integrity and audit trails for all orders, amendments, and cancellations

  • Ensure Supply Chain and Production always have clear, accurate, and timely visibility of material requirements arising from confirmed customer orders, communicating any changes or priority shifts promptly

  • Support Account Managers with internal order status queries and coordination activity, ensuring a smooth and well- documented handover of orders from quotation through to fulfilment

  • Identify and flag discrepancies, including pricing errors, stock shortfalls, lead time risks, and delivery threats, escalating promptly to the relevant Account Manager or Supply Chain contact with sufficient detail for a timely resolution

  • Maintain accurate, auditable records of all order activity, including amendments, cancellations, delivery confirmations, and customer correspondence related to order administration

  • Produce regular order status and administrative reports for the Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, highlighting any open issues, overdue actions, or at-risk orders

  • Liaise proactively with internal departments including Production, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain to chase order updates, resolve administrative queries, and ensure customers receive accurate delivery information

  • Support the Account Management team during peak periods with quotation administration, customer communications, and general commercial support tasks as directed

  • Comply with all Company Health and Safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe, organised, and compliant working environment
