Put your career into high gear with Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices! We are seeking full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join our service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Lowell, MA area. With more than 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.
Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive and undercar services on customers’ vehicles.
- Conduct undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks.
- Complete state‑mandated inspections.
- Change oil and filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts.
- Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
- Perform repeated and repetitive physical movements, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and lifting items that may weigh over 50 lb.

QualificationsTo be eligible for the Automotive Mechanic position you must:
- Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Possess at least 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Have an extensive personal toolkit for performing undercar repairs.
Preferred qualifications:
- State inspection license(s).
- ASE certifications:
Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), Brakes (A5).
