What You Will Do- Conducting Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses, including reliability predictions and maintainability predictions
- Performing Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection/Fault Isolation (FDFI) analyses
- Defining/allocating RAM requirements
- Assessing RAM performance:
Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF) & Operational Availability (Ao) - Interpreting data and analyzing results
- Ensuring performance compliance to requirements
- Maintaining complex Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and system models
- Presenting to internal and external stakeholders at program meetings and Failure Review Boards (FRB)
- Performing FRACAS tasks, including trend analysis and failure investigations
- Supporting the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM/FRACAS work
- Tracking Earned Value (EV) and providing accurate status on the schedule and budget for the RAM/FRACAS scope
Typically Requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.
Experience in Reliability, Failure Analysis, and/or Quality Engineering.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

- Experience presenting to Failure Review Boards
- Electrical Engineering experience, Electrical Engineering degree/education preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to present technical material to varied audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
