Job Overview

Mechanical Engineer II – Design Engineer (Onsite) in the ADGE department. Supports design, development, transition to production, and sustainment of rugged military electronics and platform systems.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve change requests from manufacturing or suppliers.
  • Develop rework and/or modification procedures.
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines, non‑technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
  • Work independently, meeting schedule, financial, and technical commitments.
  • Participate in design peer reviews, resolve action items, and conduct trade studies.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Minimum 2 years of Mechanical Engineering experience, preferably in hardware for military environments.
  • Experience from concept definition through detailed design, transition to production, and production support.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD tools and product data management.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or hardware systems design.
  • Experience with electronics packaging, RF, digital, and power product design.
  • Familiarity with ECAD and configuration management processes.
  • Knowledge of Military and Commercial specifications, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Ability to develop technical solutions to complex user requirements.
Tools & Technical Skills
  • CREO CAD and related documentation tools.
  • PDM or similar product data management tools.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Leadership & Soft Skills
  • Team player, self‑driven, excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to multi‑task and manage competing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
