Position Overview

We are seeking a Test Equipment Design Engineer to join our Sensor Test Solutions (STS) team. This role is ideal for engineers with experience in electrical design and software automation who are passionate about developing and integrating advanced test platforms and architectures.

You’ll contribute to the design and implementation of test solutions for a variety of programs, including analog/digital, RF, high-power, and embedded systems. Test architectures may include custom and COTS Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), electro‑mechanical fixtures, and interface cabling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop test hardware, software, and firmware from requirements through deployment
  • Identify and resolve test readiness issues throughout the development lifecycle
  • Ensure adherence to project budget, schedule, and performance goals
  • Support mechanical engineering and suppliers in test adapter design
  • Work independently or collaboratively within a team environment
  • Present technical work clearly in project status meetings
  • Support manufacturing operations with on‑site troubleshooting and debugging
  • Pursue ongoing technical development and growth
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience in electrical engineering design and/or software automation
  • U.S. Citizenship with active and transferable security clearance
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience working effectively in team environments
  • Familiarity with National Instruments tools (Test Stand, Lab Windows/CVI, LabVIEW)
  • Experience in digital, analog, RF, and/or power supply test hardware/software design
  • Skilled in automating commercial test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, analyzers, etc.)
