Raytheon invites applications for the 2026 ADGE Mechanical Engineer II (On-Site) role. The position is located in Tewksbury, MA. This role requires a U.S. citizen eligible for a DoD Secret clearance.

Full-time, On-site

• Investigate and resolve change requests from manufacturing or suppliers.
• Develop rework or modification procedures to support product updates.
• Support the full product lifecycle from concept definition through detailed design, release to production, and post-production support of Ground Based Defense Systems.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines, non-technical functions, and suppliers to develop robust design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
• Participate in design peer reviews, resolve action items, and conduct trade studies to inform technical decisions.
• Manage tasks independently and ensure timely delivery of technical, schedule, and financial commitments.
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers, contributing to team development and technical growth.

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering industry experience, preferably in rugged or military-grade hardware design.
• Hands‑on experience with 3D CAD tools and associated product data management (PDM) systems. CREO, Solid Works, and NX Siemens preferred.
• Experience with the full product lifecycle, including concept development, detailed design, and production support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline (required). Advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related hardware systems discipline.
• Familiarity with electronic packaging design and development, design, fabrication, and integration of electronic assemblies, and GEOD dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5.
• Proficient in Creo CAD tools and documentation; experience with Windchill PDM or similar configuration/data management systems.
• Strong team player with excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
