Key Responsibilities- Investigate and resolve change requests from manufacturing or suppliers.
- Develop rework or modification procedures to support product updates.
- Support the full product lifecycle from concept definition through detailed design, release to production, and post-production support of Ground Based Defense Systems.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, non-technical functions, and suppliers to develop robust design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
- Participate in design peer reviews, resolve action items, and conduct trade studies to inform technical decisions.
- Manage tasks independently and ensure timely delivery of technical, schedule, and financial commitments.
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers, contributing to team development and technical growth.
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering industry experience, preferably in rugged or military-grade hardware design.
- Hands‑on experience with 3D CAD tools and associated product data management (PDM) systems. CREO, Solid Works, and NX Siemens preferred.
- Experience with the full product lifecycle, including concept development, detailed design, and production support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline (required). Advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related hardware systems discipline.
- Familiarity with electronic packaging design and development, design, fabrication, and integration of electronic assemblies, and GEOD dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5.
- Proficient in Creo CAD tools and documentation; experience with Windchill PDM or similar configuration/data management systems.
- Strong team player with excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
