This position requires a strong academic background and experience in RF / Microwave Design, Development, Integration & Test. The candidate should also have Cost Account Manager experience and/or Task Leadership leadership experience. The candidate will work with the department manager to help staff multiple programs, control overhead costs, develop and deliver employee performance reviews, and develop / review proposals. Also, support to management at the HWE leadership level and the engineering level is required.

Perhaps most importantly, the candidate must have a willingness to relate to and support the needs of their employees. The section leader will have a sphere of up to 20 employees who will depend on the leader’s leadership to help guide their careers and to maximize their potential and effectiveness. • BS degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field
• 8+ years of relevant experience combined in the following areas:
  Microwave/RF system, subsystem and component analysis Microwave/RF system design and test Hands-on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, or Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition and analytical tools such as Matlab Secret Security Clearance

• Experience in technical writing, proposal writing, and oral presentations
• Experience in cost estimating, budget and schedule management
• Experience leading technical teams in Antenna, Microwave Assembly, and/or Radar developments.
• Understanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from the system to the component level
• Experience in a production environment
• Strong academic background that includes courses in:
  Microwave Engineering, Microwave Systems, Electromagnetic Theory and Radar Systems
• Strong hands on experience with microwave testing techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs)
• Existing Secret clearance or ability to obtain a secret clearance with interim clearance
• A Master’s degree or PhD. in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field Excellent written and oral communication skills
