The Classified Infrastructure Services department provides expertise to programs in Networking, High Performance Computing, and Data Center Operations. As a Network Engineer (P3) for this high-impact team, you will provide Subject Matter Expertise within the networking discipline. You will support operational teams by bringing your advanced networking knowledge and troubleshooting ability. This is an on-site position which will be based in the Tewksbury, MA office and may require occasional travel to other local and US Domestic locations approximately 30% of time.

Relocation support will be available if the selected applicant meets company policy.

• Provide advanced knowledge in support of (software/firmware/hardware) LAN/WAN components including routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto).
• Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize network system performance, proactively identifying and quickly resolving service impacting issues.
• Review system vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with recognized industry standards and best practices.
• Drive and/or participate in projects in support of installation and/or improvement to voice, video, and network infrastructure.
• Produce, update, and generally improve technical documentation to support security requirements and operational support of systems.
• Propose to management and configure network solutions, meeting all communications requirements based on future needs, current usage, cost savings, and availability.
• Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for network infrastructure.
• Assist with coordination of third-party maintenance and procurement for network equipment or with vendors for third-party support.
• Assist in the overall performance and capability of technical teams through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.
• Willingness and availability to work outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed.
• Willingness and availability to travel to local and other U.S domestic sites approximately 30% of time.
• Must be able to work with general supervision and follow established procedures.

• Apply Network Engineering expertise to facility moves, new construction buildings, supporting classified programs in multiple locations across Raytheon.
• Advanced knowledge of industry leading network products and Network Design/Architecture for all programs.

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
• Experience with Cisco Networking Products.

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret DOD security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Advanced knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and authentication servers.
