Overview
On behalf of our client, Correct Rx Pharmacy Services, Inc. – a recognized leader in institutional pharmacy services – we are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Program Operations Manager to lead the Massachusetts State Office for Pharmacy Services (SOPS) contract.
This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement across a complex, high-volume healthcare environment, while developing, mentoring, and aligning teams to strengthen overall organizational capability.
About the Role
The Program Operations Manager holds overall accountability for program performance, governance, and operational alignment. Partnering closely with SOPS leadership and internal stakeholders, this leader ensures all contract deliverables are executed with precision, professionalism, and accountability. This role provides direct oversight of the Quality & Compliance Manager to drive effective execution across all quality and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure full contractual, regulatory, and audit compliance across all operations; establish governance structures to support operational consistency and regulatory adherence.
- Performance & Executive Reporting: Lead KPI management, performance monitoring, and executive reporting. Facilitate and co-lead the weekly Correct Rx Scorecard to ensure organizational readiness and responsiveness to SOPS.
- Quality Assurance Oversight: Provide executive oversight of Quality Assurance and Compliance programs; directly manage the Quality & Compliance Manager to ensure accountability and alignment on quality initiatives.
- Policy & Process Management: Oversee the development, approval, and implementation of operational policies and procedures; drive continuous process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Provide strategic oversight of subcontractor performance and compliance.
- Analytics & Insights: Utilize data analytics and tools to generate operational insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Serve as the primary liaison to SOPS leadership; mentor, develop, and align teams to build capability and sustain high performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Skills:
- 5–7 years of leadership or management experience, preferably in healthcare operations or pharmacy systems.
- Demonstrated track record of leading teams and developing future leaders.
- Strong expertise in compliance, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), KPI management, and regulatory oversight.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and healthcare data analytics tools.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and executive presentation skills.
Education & Credentials:
- Education: PharmD is required.
- Additional leadership development experience or professional certifications are a plus.
- Licensure: Active Pharmacist License in Maryland is required.
