The Field Service Technician Level 2 will be responsible for start-up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites. Product specific training will be provided. Will interact with customers.

Core responsibilities include evaluating, repairing, and conducting hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps; troubleshooting of electrical control panels; general understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams; performing start-ups and training customers on the equipment; preventative maintenance and emergency callouts; operating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers; operating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.;
working with various company provided hand and power tools; accurate record keeping inside Xylem's work order management system; creating and maintaining a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locations; taking care of company property; demonstrating high impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment; being able to function in a team environment;
and working independently.
Qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent, 2 to 5 years of technical/mechanical work experience, experience with water/wastewater highly preferred, and the ability to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen.
Skill requirements include being electrically and mechanically inclined, demonstrating critical thinking and troubleshooting ability, comprehending technical information and communicating it clearly, and experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices.

The estimated salary range for this position starts at $36/hourly. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
