Staff Attorney(s) – Housing, Domestic Justice, Economic Justice, Consumer

Location:

Texarkana, Arkansas (and alternatively El Dorado, Arkansas). Hybrid schedule possible: mix of in-office and remote. Frequent travel required; occasional evening/weekend events.

About Legal Aid of Arkansas

Legal Aid of Arkansas is a public interest, not-for-profit law firm dedicated to assuring equal access to justice in civil matters for low-income Arkansans. Advocates provide counsel in housing preservation, domestic violence prevention, economic justice, and consumer protection.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct legal advocacy, including legal advice, brief assistance, negotiations, and full representation.
  • Handle high-volume caseload consistent with experience.
  • Primarily work in one of the four substantive areas: housing, domestic justice, economic justice, or consumer protection.
  • Travel to represent clients, and attend training, meetings, or outreach activities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Arkansas bar admission or eligibility for reciprocity.
  • Must reside in Arkansas or be willing to relocate to Arkansas or contiguous counties.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel.
  • Preferred full‑time; part‑time may be considered.
  • Experience handling high-volume practice desirable.
