As an Engineer, Test 2, you’ll be hands-on with cutting-edge technology, tackling challenges, solving problems, and making an impact where it truly matters.
Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive test plans, outlining the scope, objectives, and resources required for testing different energetic control systems. Create detailed test cases and procedures to evaluate various aspects of the system, including functionality, performance, and safety.
- Integrate control systems with other components and subsystems, ensuring seamless interaction and proper functionality. Conduct tests such as functional and performance testing to verify the system’s behavior.
- Design and assemble test fixtures and validate test methods to ensure tests and results comply with contractual requirements.
- Analyze root causes and implement solutions to ensure the system meets the required specifications when issues arise during testing.
- Interface with programs, engineering, and quality departments on test requirements and act as a point of contact for test development.
- Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and identified issues. This documentation is crucial for tracking progress, identifying trends, and facilitating future improvements. Additional duties may be assigned.
- Proficiency in programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Ability to read/create mechanical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and assembly methods.
- Ability to create Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) for controlling and monitoring systems.
- Understanding of sensors, actuators, and other components used in control systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills essential for designing, implementing, and optimizing test systems. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and adapt to changing business needs. Strong ability to understand and complete technical projects based on drawings, sketches and verbal communication. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Experience with mechanical measurement instrumentation and sensor technologies, including load cells, pressure transducers, thermocouples, and high-speed cameras.
- A Bachelor's Degree Required in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree or experience.
- 5+ years of experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid REAL
-compliant driver’s license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant.
In compliance with state pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $76,080 - $114,120. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
