* Job Description:
** - Join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing patient care in cardiovascular procedures! - Operate and maintain life-saving equipment, including:
- Cardiopulmonary pump - Cell Saver - Autotransfuser - Intra-aortic balloon pump - Collaborate closely with physicians and staff during critical surgical procedures.
- Arrive 30 minutes early to ensure seamless setup for surgeries.
- Utilize your expertise in:
- Cardiac drug administration - Heparin, protamine, and anticoagulation-titration analysis systems - Patient management responsibilities covering Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Cardiology, and Surgical Techniques - Set up and manage total or partial artificial heart console systems, heart-lung machines, and Auto transfusion equipment.
- Provide insights and support in various settings, including:
- Operating Room - Cardiac Cath Lab - ICU - Maintain and ensure heart-lung machines are cleaned according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Contribute to quality improvement and infection control data as needed.
** Requirements:**
- Education:
- Completion of an accredited perfusionist program required.
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience preferred.
- Licenses, Registrations, or
Certifications:
- BLS required (AHA only) - Perfusionist TX state licensure required.
- Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion preferred.
