Maintenance Generalist B (Night) Shift RVI-Texarkana, AR

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Generalist B to work the Night Shift in Texarkana, AR. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with Tyson policies and procedures.

Starting Pay: $21.30-$30.40/hr plus a $2.00 shift premium.

• Sunday: 12 AM – 6 AM & 6 PM – Monday: 6 AM
• Monday: 6 PM – Tuesday: 6 AM
• Tuesday: 6 PM – Wednesday: 6 AM

Responsibilities: Apply basic hand tools, perform welding, cutting, minor electrical repairs, monitor boiler, perform chemical tests, read drawings & schematics for hydraulic and basic electrical systems, operate gas/hydraulic motors and lifts, replace motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water & steam pipes and lines, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Basic mechanical or maintenance skills, welding knowledge, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing, 1 year or more welding and industrial maintenance experience or related educational program, ability to read and understand assignments, communicate orally and in writing, respond to two‑way radio, lift 50 lb., climb stairs and ladders up to 60 ft., stand long periods, withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather & odors, basic math, use electrical & pneumatic power tools, respirator qualification preferred.

Willingness for further education through outside training, company testing, and vendor training.

Physical Requirements: Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation; exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, external weather, risk of electrical shock and vibration, occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat, loud noise level.

Additional Requirements: 180‑day wait period from last termination date; no repeat of Tyson employment 3 times (3X rule); applications valid only for current position; must reapply for each position.
