We’re hiring for a Steel Fabrication Utility Operator to set up and operate equipment including Flame Cutter, Shear, Seam Welder, Flash Welder, Plate Rolls, Flange/Angle Rolls, Rim Rolls, Tack Welder, Plasma Burner, 200 Ton Press, 400 Ton Press, All Expanders, All Punch Presses, and more.

• Set up and operate fabrication machines to produce quality parts to print specifications.
• Work well with all team members and be a positive contributor to the team.
• Participate in training activities, both on and off site.
• Document and maintain required records.
• Work safely by following all safety policies, procedures, and actively participate in all site safety programs.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.

• Ability to use, read, and interpret tape measures, Pi tapes, squares, protractors, calipers, special pipe & layout instruments, and other measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret shop orders and blueprints.
• Capability to use computer to clock/transfer shop orders.
• Ability to train less‑qualified employees as required.
• Maintain proper care of equipment and a neat and orderly work area.
• Willing and able to work overtime as needed.
• Maintain quality and quantity standards.
• Follow detailed work orders and modify them through supervision or lead person as required.

In this role, the working environment includes an indoor climate‑controlled office and plant manufacturing environment. Physical demands may include occasionally lifting up to 35 pounds and prolonged exposure to indoor and outdoor environments.
