Literacy Texas serves as a backbone agency supporting a coalition of adult literacy providers across the state. Our organization focuses on training and networking opportunities, as well as providing resources for organizations and advocating for the field. Our partnership with Ameri Corps through the VISTA program will allow us the opportunity to refine existing programs and build new ones to meet the needs of adult literacy providers in Texas.
MemberDuties
The Ameri Corps VISTA member serving at Literacy Texas will evaluate and provide recommendations for our existing programs. This member will also be instrumental in the development of new programs to meet the needs of adult learning providers in Texas. Position is part of the Literacy Leadership Ameri Corps VISTA program of Literacy Minnesota (LitMN). Literacy Minnesota fosters an organizational culture that is welcoming and inclusive to all.
