Reimagine What’s Possible Are you passionate about solving complex electrical challenges and driving reliability in critical industrial systems? Join our team and play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of high-voltage power distribution systems and rotating equipment across Air Products’ North American facilities. In this highly visible technical leadership role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for high-voltage electrical systems, helping to enhance asset performance, prevent unplanned downtime, and implement innovative reliability solutions.

Based primarily at our Texas City, Texas facility, this position offers the opportunity to influence operations across North America through periodic travel (approximately 15-20%) to support other sites and strategic initiatives.

• Provide expert technical support for high-voltage distribution systems, motors, generators, and other critical electrical assets.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex electrical equipment issues and coordinate technical response strategies across multiple facilities.
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and implement effective corrective actions that improve reliability and eliminate recurring failures.
• Develop engineered solutions that enhance equipment performance, reduce maintenance costs, and improve plant availability.
• Analyze equipment and system performance data to identify reliability improvement opportunities and optimize maintenance practices.
• Design and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs for critical electrical infrastructure.
• Oversee vendor repairs and refurbishment activities for high-voltage equipment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
• Conduct power system studies, including short-circuit, arc flash, load-flow, motor starting, and voltage drop analyses.
• Program and validate protective relays based on study results and system performance analysis.
• Review and approve technical designs, engineering documentation, and reliability improvement projects.
• Establish and maintain electrical safety standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor, train, and develop operations and maintenance personnel on electrical system reliability, maintenance, and safe work practices.
• Champion a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all supported facilities.
