About the Position:
Full‑Time Teller/New Accounts Representative

This role combines traditional teller duties with new account responsibilities, providing a holistic experience for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teller
  • Handle cash transactions and negotiable‑instrument transactions, including verifying cash and endorsements, receiving proper identification, and ensuring validity.
  • Balance ATMs, cash on hand, drawer activities, and daily totals; secure all cash and coin in accordance with bank policy.
  • Perform daily transaction consolidation and balancing.
  • Accept deposits, process loan payments, cash checks, issue money orders, and cashier’s checks.
• New Accounts
  • Build loyalty by uncovering financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
  • Open consumer and business accounts.
  • Own the customer experience, including onboarding and resolving service issues.
  • Conduct outbound sales activities such as meeting with local businesses and attending community events to drive business.
  • Coordinate with loan, mortgage, treasury management, or investment specialists for specialized needs.
  • Follow up with new customers by phone to ensure satisfaction and address additional financial needs.

  • Engage customers in the lobby and phone to assist, educate, and train them on self‑service technologies.
  • Comply with privacy policies and procedures to protect customer confidentiality.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulatory rules and company policies.
  • Complete all required regulatory compliance training as assigned.
  • Perform any additional duties and tasks assigned by management.

Required Hours of Availability

• Monday–Friday
  • Opening shift: 7:45 am – 4:45 pm
  • Closing shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Location closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Education, Experience & Licenses

• High school degree or higher (required).
• Minimum 5 years of New Accounts experience (required).
• Minimum 1 year of customer service and cash‑handling experience (required).

Physical Demands

Typical duties include sitting, using hands in repetitive motions, speaking and hearing, standing, walking, and lifting or reaching with hands and arms. Employees must operate routine office equipment and may need to work extended hours or travel off site as required.
