Project Cost Analyst with Emphasis on Reporting/Dashboard Building

The Cost Analyst will be responsible for managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports to support financial performance and efficiency across operations. This role involves preparing detailed analyses in SAP, monitoring expenditures, and providing insights that guide decision‑making and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in financial systems such as SAP, and the ability to work collaboratively with project and management teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage annual budgets and prepare monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
• Prepare detailed cost and performance reports in SAP, both periodically and on an ad‑hoc basis for management.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and process monthly accruals for multiple business segments and vendors.
• Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs, identifying key drivers of deviations and recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor operational and project expenses to ensure alignment with budget targets and corporate guidelines.
• Support management in achieving cost‑reduction goals and improving operational efficiency.
• Assist with the annual development of project and expense budgets, providing data‑driven insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and field personnel to validate time sheets, expense reports, and project‑related costs.
• Prepare and present dashboards and reports in Power BI to track open expenses, late payments, and financial performance metrics.
• Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for new team members to ensure consistent financial reporting standards and best practices.
• Contribute to building a positive team culture through coordination of team meetings and engagement activities.

Skills and

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Cost Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SAP ERP, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

PTO – 108 hrs/year to be accrued weekly;
Can be used, rolled over, or paid out
