PRN - Mental Health Crisis On-Call Case Manager

Job Description

Gulf Coast Center is seeking a PRN - Mental Health Crisis On-Call Case Manager to provide rapid response mobile crisis services in the community.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in the Behavioral Science field of study and general knowledge of mental health disorders. The ability to remain calm in stressful situations, self-motivation, and good time management skills are essential.

• Respond immediately to crisis calls and provide crisis assessment and intervention services to adults and children experiencing mental health and substance use crises.
• Provide intensive crisis follow-up services, including crisis follow-up contacts, rehabilitative skills training, family education, community resource referrals, and transportation to community resources.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, local hospitals, and other social service agencies to resolve crisis needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of crisis services, including crisis assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans.

• Bachelor's degree in the Behavioral Science field of study.
• General knowledge of mental health disorders.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Self-motivation and good time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and establish cooperative relationships with individuals in crisis situations.

Work will be performed in the Office and/or Field settings, with varied work hours depending on client needs. Out-of-region travel may be required for training, and a current Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
