SUMMARY

Performs a variety of computer-based, data-centric tasks in support of achieving the vegetation management (VM) and/or wildfire mitigation program goals and objectives. Primary tasks will include data collection, consolidation, statistical analysis, report/data visualization output, and work order generation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creates and oversees data collection efforts associated with day-to-day operations, including work productivity, customer requests, customer complaints, reliability metrics, and other key operational activities
  • Consolidates data points such as facilitating easy access and cross-comparisons
  • Generates statistical and other data related analysis of collected data to support and enhance VM/Outage Ignition Investigation (OII) activities
  • Generates standardized and ad hoc reports utilizing Power BI or other data visualization tools. These reports should be flexible and tailored to meet various levels of professional needs, from field to executive levels
  • Works with all levels of VM/OII staff in data and reporting needs
  • Creates e-forms or other standardized data collection forms to support vegetation management and wildfire mitigation activities
  • Works with line clearance contractor supervision to generate work orders, track completed work orders, and associated invoicing
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to develop budgets and related reporting
  • Develops and manages scope, budget, and milestones of assigned projects
  • Assists with garnering approval of final project from appropriate leaders and stakeholders
  • Coordinates, and manages stakeholder meetings, including issuing minutes and action items from these meetings
  • Documents work processes and standard work instructions and continuously improve on them as part of daily work
  • Performs benchmarking as a method to understand current performance and act upon results
  • Prepares and presents benchmarking reports to appropriate stakeholders
  • Assists with developing plans and roadmaps

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR

EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from a university or college in mathematics, data science/statistics or equivalent and one to three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Experience with R, python, SQL, Power Bi, Tableau, or other visualization platforms preferred

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel

ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Required to sit up to 1/3 of time and talk and listen for long periods of time. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. May be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Office environment.
