Overview
Brazoria County Criminal District Attorney’s Office has an opening for a misdemeanor prosecutor. Starting annual salary range, depending on qualifications & experience, is from $78,024.00 - $87,817.00.
Responsibilities- Misdemeanor prosecutors are expected to evaluate facts in misdemeanor cases, make charging decisions, contact victims, work with law enforcement officers, make plea offers and try cases to juries.
- Misdemeanor prosecutors will share a caseload in an assigned misdemeanor court with another misdemeanor prosecutor.
- Misdemeanor prosecutors are also given the opportunity on occasion to try felony cases.
- Must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
Our office is a friendly team-oriented office. We are looking for a prosecutor who wants to be part of our team. Our office pays bar dues and the cost of approved continuing legal education.
